Wow that's crazy, well for me anyway, got to wonder how legit it is shelling over that kind of money. Thanks for posting.

    20% over spot.

And wow success fee of 7.9% payable. Presume they already tried dealers.

I thought bulk selling would only get you so much over spot unless you're selling bulk vintage bars.

I would have thought there was zero market for vintage bars that size.
Unless you run a dealership with a curio section even than would you need two?

Plus I'd want to turn up with security lol. So much easier with paper

I have seen bars of this dimension and weight used by manufacturers of electrical conductive equipment .
Could be selling off their surplus stock .
    A most interesting post Silverman99

    The auction goes like this:

"We Have been saving in silver for a long time and now our dream block of land has presented itself. Attractively priced and time for our silver to do it's job.
    Hallmarks and quantities as follows:

CIMET. (Coleman Industrial Metals/ New Zealand Gold Merchants/ NZ Pure)
    5 X 5Kg.
    1 X 1Kg.
    NZ Pure.
    6 X 5Kg.
    6 X 1Kg.

    Johnson Matthey
    17 X 5Kg.
    AGR
    1 X 5Kg."

... so it doesn't read like a manufacturers surplus stock.

A pity for them that that dream block of land didn't present itself in 2011.
And a luck for the eventual buyer then. :p

I have heard Jim Willie claiming that as you get into larger figures that the premium increases. I'm sure I've heard him say that premiums go to 100% for multi million dollar transactions.

He talks out his arse a lot I reckon.
