    Hi Ho Hiho,

I've noticed that you occasionally express a desire to see the AUD drop. I'm wondering if that is because your investment will then seem to go up in value numerically?

If the AUD drops, this will give you a paper gain over the price you paid originally, but that 'benefit' is immediately lost due to the fact that the dollars you are measuring in have shrunken! They are now 'different' dollars.

It's like a short man measuring himself with a sawn-off ruler and thinking he has grown. Technically, you might as well measure your stack in Iraqi Dinars!

The AUD has actually been surprisingly stable for the past 12 months or so and that's a very healthy sign! The decline of the USD is making the AUD 'seem' to go up - relative to them.

Perhaps this is not what you mean though! I just point this out because I've seen people get mighty confused when they try to compare two currencies (e.g. Silver and USD) using a third currency!

I believe Hiho is using the logic that if the AUD drops lets say for example to .94 against the USD,then in actuality his PM holdings value in AUD will +
Being in OZ he now can convert His PM$ value to AUD$ and have an actual increase in purchasing power for the period of time in which the economy feels no consequences due to the drop.
    Can't fault his logic there.

Meh Silver bet Gold to the finish line and and overtook it twice. Lets just hope Silver doesnt run too fast and fall over because Gold has good stable balance.
