You know it's going to be pretty much fake when listed as auction on ebay for gold bars. Why would the seller take all of the risk of selling on eBay with price uncertainty from an auction when they can just walk to a dealer and get a much better price once you factor in ebay/paypal fees?

Thanks to "CounterfeitGoldie" SS member for pointing out all of these ebay gold scams for all us to see!

Letting everyone here know who may have missed it that CounterfeitGoldie's ebay gold scam threads here were first attacked and reported to be taken down by SS member "Gullintanni". A relative newbie member here who thinks and acts like this is his/her own forum and has a habit of reporting people and their threads to be closed down for NO good reason. He has tried to do it to me as well as others too. I'm warning fellow SS members to not trust "Gullintanni". He will report you if he/she don't like what you posted, even if he don't like the subject matter like he tried to do with me. And he/she had the gall to post this thread about this forum titled "The creeping tide of CENSORSHIP." - http://forums.silverstackers.com/topic-82223-the-creeping-tide-of-censorship.html

A reminder what happened in "CounterfeitGoldie" first ebay warning thread -

Thanks to GP for seeing "CounterfeitGoldie" warning threads didn't deserve to be closed.

Maybe time to start creating ebay accounts and winning the auctions so others don't get scammed. Make a reasonable request, eg I'm in your city and have an XRF machine and would like to the check the items before paying. They inevitably will decline so you leave bad feedback with a nice note as a warning to others.

    re: aleks
I've been in contact with Perth Mint, ACCC[Australia], and Doug Davis' Office. They can only do so much.

I have contacted eBay U.S.A. numerous times, mostly on deaf ears.

Maybe a $10,000 bid on all items is in order.
I could care less about a suspension.

I brought this up before, this won't stop until the stake holders take it seriously, ie the mints and big dealers.

It literally would be only 1 hour a day per organisation if it was coordinated, ie one organisation does one day and other do different days.

And they report each one to police and eBay. For the wrongly accused they could offer a simple XRF test to be conducted.

But if they were really serious and want to kill counterfeit business over night, Perth mint being semi government could just offer an escrow service in partnership with eBay and payal, counterfeit gold gone over night. And later offer it for silver.

I went through, and reported each of his listings... maybe someone else did it too which is why they took it down.. fake bidding of a huge amount from a dummy account is a good idea too

It wil be interesting to see how the bars are received and feedback given.

They probably didn't sell as all the auctions only went for a day. My guess is that ebay took them down.
