    what do you think of a coin with the present day priminister and say the coat of arms, mob of roo's on the otherside

    When you see the harsh crowd reaction to standing Prime Ministers compared to those who've been out of of office a few years, I reckon your idea would just bring on unwanted hostility towards our currency. You'd probably do better waiting a decade or so after they've left office for the anger to subside.

    I remember Hawkey being booed at the MCG whilst PM, but now at the SCG the punters can't get enough of him.

    yep even that but I (IMO) think we should have something more Australian that the Queen of England, maybe it is time to grow up and change that

    Certainly won't happen while the queen is alive who knows after that. :)

    Can't say I'd want to see any politician in any country on a coin unless it's in a historical sense like Winston Churchill for example. Given how dodgy many politicans are these days, the potential for having one that turns out to be scandalous on hundreds of millions of coins for the next few decades isn't a pretty thought.
