you might have seen my recent thread about import duties and gst.

anyway, i used a customs broker to clear my parcel and the service has been good and he saved me alot of money however when i was using his website i found that the service product i wanted to use was priced differently depending on how you navigated to the page where the icon was to select the service you desire. one was $66 the other $55 for the same product. of course i clicked on the $55 option. however i was charged $66. when i asked about it he said that was last years price and it is now $66.

this leads me to my question, is the seller legally obliged to sell at the advertised price if it was his mistake for not updating his website with current prices?

If it was a mistake no. If you believe it is deliberately misleading then you may be able to lodge a complaint with the ACCC or the Office of Fair Trading.
