My LCS has a selection of 1 oz and 10 oz Engelhard bars that he's selling for $3 over spot. They are just a mixture of extruded, pressed and poured loaf bars. My question is if I buy a little at a time, which typically are the more rare and should I focus on first?

First guess would be the poured loaf but depends on condition, rarity etc. Try get some pics next time you're there ;)

Best pace to start having a look- http://allengelhard.com and searching Ebay for sold bar prices.

Try looking over allengelhard for the rare types. Otherwise you can go to ebay and just google "rare engelhard" and you'll know which bars to look out for :)

Don't be surprised if the engelhard selection diminishes by the time you go back to buy.

LOL not this time, but generally speaking engelhard sells faster than most other things, once an LCS puts them out they are snatched up within a day or two is my experience.

Go the 1oz over 10oz if both are $3 over spot.

My experience has been that everybody who lists an Engelhard on ebay calls it rare.

i think that was partial because there's a buying mood across US. like we do to our Perth Mint bars.

Engelhard bars are rare , that's truth. Collectors consider them as vintage bars that are no longer in production but are still extremely popular due to their rich history. So, that's why they have a high price on the marketplace, I actually got my Engelhard bars here-great deal http://bullionexchanges.com/buy-silver/bars/jm-engelhard-silver
