On the 1st October the Chinese Yuan will join the US$, UK pound, Yen and the Euro in the IMF backed currencies. SDR = Special Drawing Rights. China will have 10% of the total. The Question is what will be the impact on the world markets?. IMO with such a large sum of $$$ the markets should soar to a new all time high in Wall ST. September and October are always a time when Wall st could take a dive big time...Many so called experts are calling 2016 to be the year of the next crash. Bill Gates is worth 78.5B$, not 100B$. Anyway, world markets are worth 61.781T$. I tend to agree that 0.100T$ won't make that much of a difference, specially if the IMF is not dumb to the point of making a single move overnight.

As Kyle Bass explains, SDR's are just an "optical backstop" to the ball game. They're just a mirage. There's no actual hard currency to them...just a promise to contribute $ if things go south. But no country ever will. It's just a 'feel good' measure drummed up to try and put a 'floor' under worthless fiat currencies.
