Reading the finance section of the weekend paper and looking at the stockbroking recommendations.

One of these 2 guys must not have polished his crystal ball as 1 recommended ASX as a buy and the other as a sell.
I guess maybe one should sell half and sit on the rest.....

I've got a trusty crystal ball and it says near future there will be a shortage of silver and it will skyrocket. ;)

Won't show the details/wording here but in my BM thread I will one day soon.

I wouldn't trust the "finance section of the weekend paper" to wipe my anus with.

It is literally the last place I would want to get any kind of financial advice. The readership is primarily mums-and-dads investors and they KNOW it.

It's not unusal for financial analysts have opposite views on a particular stock

You're right but it's something to read with my coffee.....
I wouldn't take financial advise from any brokers either. Been burnt in the past.....

I totally get that. I love my weekend coffee / newspaper combination too. But sometimes you can read stuff with a skeptic mind but it still seeps into your mind in a kind of subliminal way. To me it's a form of pollution. Better off skipping that section and sticking to the sports / lifestyle parts and if you want to read about finance then pick up a decent book and pretend it's a newspaper. ;)
