It's new technique from CIT to make higher relief coins or to make "smaller bigger" (e.g. Brexit 3g coin from EMK). Before saying final word, I would like to see the video, but the amount of details look impressive, as well as I like the motive. Have no clue how much people in Middle East are interested in precious metals, but this coin might be popular there, especially as it seems it's the first one with this motive. Like Ceilings of Heaven more, but this is yet another interesting series from Powercoin and I'm only curious to see how the series will develop. Having no Queen on reverse is also always a big plus for me.
Very interesting video! So smartminting is not only for high relief with lot of details, but also for larger coins using same metal amount. Good to see some innovation in modern coin industry
It's a brilliant technique. The new Big Gold Minting (BGM) they have for gold has similar results which could see 1/4 oz gold coins with diameters approaching current 1 oz sizes, but with no loss of relief or detail. The new Brexit coin is 26mm in diameter, but weighs just 3 g. Pretty sure collectors will appreciate getting bigger looking gold coins without the big stump up, especially if it continues to rise. Very impressed.
When I first heard this name, "Hand of Fatima", I thought it was a commemorative coin about the prophecy of Fatima, the three secrets. However, thanks to AgAuNews post, I discovered it is about something else: a multi-cultural and multi-religion topic, last but not least it is a talisman in popular beliefs and superstition. If coin comes in a nice box I already found the best birthday gift for a friend Alex.
