The Elemetal 2 oz Privateer Ultra High Relief Silver Round... earlier SS discussion here.

I got this at the Sydney monthly meet from BiGs.

First observation is that it is a fat round! Second observation is that the rim is really high and it's going to get dinged without a capsule. Definitely you need capsules for these unless you are going to handle them like I have (don't judge me).

    Comparison for Aussies:

The rim is as high, or higher, than a 5c coin:

2oz is a nice size to hold in your hand. But certainly its going to need a capsule.

Finally, its easy to stand on its side and roll around:

I hate bokeh with shots like this, I want to see a nice huge depth of field with everything in focus.

This round trumps, stamps on, kicks around and in general defecates on any other coin I've seen.
Proof, high relief, gilded, lenticled, scratch and smell, or other.
One day when i can afford to start stacking, i would love to have a tub full of these and 08 kooks to roll around in.

Nice pics, nice looking ultra high relief round.

I consider myself still relatively new to stacking (though not a newbie) so I ask this with all sincerity because I do not know the answer which is: is it just in recent few years that some well known mints are producing coins and rounds (medals have generally always had much higher relief than coins and rounds so there's little point in highlighting medals here in this post) that have exceptionally high relief like the Provident Mint's Privateer and American Landmarks series, the Helvetic Mint's Swiss Wildlife series and their Ultra High Relief oval silver coin series which includes critters like the Blue Iguana, the Perth Mint's God's and Goddesses of Olympus as well as their high relief proof versions of their Lunar, Koala, and Kookaburra coins, the San Montuno Mint SKULL COINS: Zodiac 2015 Aries - MEMENTO MORI and their Lunar Skulls series, the Northwest Territorial Mint's Heidi Wastweet 2015 Bald Eagle silver round, the Mint of Poland's numerous new high relief coins like the Imperial Art series and their Volcana Erta Ale coin as just two examples, the Frank Frazetta Death Dealer silver round and others that I haven't intentionally left out but just haven't gotten around to listing them?

I didn't mean to exclude any recent (past few years) high relief coins or rounds, but space and time permitted I had to.

@SilverPete (The Elemetal 2 oz Privateer Ultra High Relief Silver Round)

Those are the most wicked/sweetest photos of the Privateer Round that I have come across. Bravo! Long Live Silver Porn!

Thanks for the mention Pete. Bit unfortunate with these as I ordered the capsules with them and even confirmed the capsules before the order (as Elemetal are notorious to forgetting any non bullion products) and when I got them there was no caps to be seen. I will stock again hopefully with capsules as an option too and also the new one in the series, Siren. They told me 5-6 week wait on these currently as they are frantically trying to keep up with the raw bullion product demand atm first.

Anyone have local available caps for these yet?

Mine are getting cold not being inside some shelter.

I was in Perth Bullion recently. I picked up a Cleopatra. They were able to supply me with a suitable capsule. There is a slight rattle, but it will be acceptable for all but the most OCD of us.
