It will be very interesting to see if the 2015 Kangaroo has the same security feature micro engraved "A" as it's successor ? Maybe those who have this coin in their possession can let forum members know ? It must be all happenstance that the current 2016 Kangaroo bares similar hallmarks to its Canadian cousin the 2016 1 oz Silver Maple Leaf. Both coins use similar micro engraving technology. And both coins use similar radial lines technology. And both coins are of course 9999 purity. Considering that Canadian Mint has used such technology for years, you would think they would protect their product design with some form of patent to prevent other mints copycatting. It all seems all so coincidental and too good to be true that both coins have similar characteristics ! Let's hope that there are no more sneaky little secrets unveiled upon the Australian Public ? In light of the latest kerfuffle surrounding the secret deal done with Coins 'n' Things is there anything else Perth Mint would like tell it's customers ?
