Picked these up recently, I cant find another 5 oz Hoffman and Hoffman except for here http://silveringot.blogspot.com/2013/07/the-h-box-part-i.html ...seem to be MUCH rarer than the 10 oz size.
Those are some nice old bars, thanks everyone for posting them. I see lots of silver but 99% of it is relatively new.
Chip is correct 50oz, nice hefty size Before I found this forum I wasn't into these old bars at all, but now I find myself searching them out. There's something special about their beautiful ugliness & character that sets them apart from the modern stuff. It's even better when you can pick them up for a small premium.
They say it's not the size, it's the way you use it. Anyone know what sort of year they were making these and has anyone seen quater kilos from geomin before? *edit* anyone notice I got a gram thrown in for free?
these bars are from late seventies to early eighties [imgz=http://forums.silverstackers.com/uploads/1123_250_g_002.jpg][/imgz]
Look what I found! 10 oz Engelhard Australia - first time I have seen one of these 10 oz Harrington bar 250 gram ABC presentation bar 10 oz San Diego Refining bar - supposedly quite rare Back of the San Diego bar - because it looks great 10 oz Harrington with added extra hole so you can accessorize it!
WOW Amazing finds indeed. I expect we'll be able to find more vintage bars than usual up for sale close to spot around here now that spot has spiked and folks want to book some profits and/or cash out, I can't wait!
