G'day guys, I've only just now registered on the site. Are any of you familiar / have read this article? I think its quite intriguing and shows the great potential of silver. However, I do believe that consideration needs to be made regarding the relative value of the dollar when / if silver does reach "$100,000". When / if a price restructure occurs of this magnitude, $100,000 may only buy a second hand motorbike, an Armani suit or a 5 day trip to Tahiti for example. http://www.roadtoroota.com/public/998.cfm
As I said - if silver ever hit that price, what would the actual relative value of the dollar be? Ie. what would the true purchasing power of $100,000 be at that moment in time? If we think along those terms, then there is no reason why silver couldn't hit even higher prices! An example, in Zimbabwe, a loaf of bread is worth $1,000,000 of their "dollars". Does this mean 'bread' is an insanely valuable item? - no, off course not, but due to hyperinflation and the purchasing power of their currency, $1,000,000 is semi-worthless in real terms.
I think you've answered your own question. If that were ever to happen ie 1oz Ag = $100 000 then it would be worthless.
Sometimes I think they are just trying to sucker us. If everyone is buying gold then it won't be the best bet in town.
It dosent matter if silver got to $100,000. every single person on this site would be out way before then. On the way up to $100,000 i would say 80% of everyone on this site would be cashed out or almost cashed out before $100. And the last 10% and the 'almost cashed outs' would be out WELL before $1000
I think you mean "everyone will have lost their silver in a tragic boating accident" because otherwise the capital gains would result in the mother of all bracket creep in terms of taxation.
If silver hits $100,000/oz, it's likely that a loaf of white bread at that same time would be somewhere around $15,000. It's all relative, folks. .
Bread is expensive in Zimbabwe. a good analogy. It will be interesting to see what gold or silver is worth in Venezuela. Surely locally it would be SHTF silver prices, can they buy bread and milk, get some some toilet paper with silver?
Bix is a fruit cake. I can't believe he actually suckers folks to buy his subscription. He definitely is up there with Bo, Karen and other cookoos. They belong in a nut house along side of other crazies. I hope to God no one is buying PM's because of folks like Bix espousing these idiot comments. Hopefully you have better reasons than listening to this putrid stench of 100,000 dollar silver!! LMAO
