Anyone here collect the series could provide me with the mintage numbers? I don't see many people collecting the series. The 5 oz coins have a high premium but they mint less so I'm unsure if its worth it. Thanks for sharing the information. How do you think the series is performing? I see on JM Bullion 2011-present 1 oz coins all sell relatively at the same price meaning that there doesn't appear to be much appreciation on the older coins. What are your thoughts on the series appreciating over time as far as the older coins go. No idea. A while back when they first came out everyone was pretty keen to get one for the collection. I picked up one. But the design doesn't change much (other then the country) so I haven't heard of anyone trying to collect the series of them. The gilded turtles look really nice but I haven't picked one up, they are the only gilded coins that really look worth the effort of gilding.
If I remember right, the early ones were "unlimited mintage" so everyone thought there would be millions of them but they turned out to be very low mintage, like 10k-20k.
Oh the states. The 5 oz ones are hard to find. Actually I think that they don't have unlimited mitnages 1 oz coins seem to be 350K 5 oz seem to be 50K 2010 & 2012 glided is 5k 2014 commemorative is 2k and has a unique design All the other glided ones are not official coins of the series and are glided by third parties. They appear to be legit silver coins purchased and then they get sent some were and some one glides them and not the mint. The glided ones come in cases from the mint. I see lots of glided ones that are like 2016 or 2015 etc which are glided by a third party and not official coins of the series. I also see some rithium glided ones which are also from a third party glider and not from the mint. Do you have any you can sell to me that I'm missing that you don't mind parting with?
hmm, always thought the 'unique' is year 2013, as it does not have the queen. It is also the last year under Fiji banner, no?
