I was shocked to see yet another Star Trek program, but that aside, these coins just don't do it for me and I find the packaging atrocious. I definitely won't be buying these.

I like these a lot. They are much better than the Perth Mint Star Trek TOS (The Original Series) coins in my view.

The packaging is terrific and is certainly in the spirit of TOS.

The RCM gets 2 thumbs up from me.

BTW AgAuNews, your 2nd background image is definitely not a part of TOS...that is a later starship.

Yes. I just liked the picture but it is the first Enterprise, but the movie version.

Interesting thing about these coins is the words Star Trek appear nowhere on any of them. Wonder why? A way for Paramount to skirt the Perth licence perhaps or did CBS give the licence to the RCM instead of Paramount?

That is quite interesting. They clearly got the license to use Star Trek characters, objects, and design attributes....you have me wondering now.

Should we expect any additional "milky-way" design with time?

Would you like to do a bit of research before posting such comment? RCM produce milking Bullion but their numismatic stuffs and Privy stuffs are fine

Apparently the gold coin is sold out and there's a lot of buzz around it among some coin forums (1/2 oz gold for 1300).

I'm finding it hard to swallow paying for so much premium. Might give it a miss.

This is much better than Perth mints. However Canada mints stuff are not as sellable than Perth mints in Singapore.

I do not know the reason and find it very puzzle.

That shiny surface will be attracting tribble spots.

Typically only the bullion gets the Tribble spots.

Besides, I surrounded the coin with an anti-Tribble force field. :)

I've only just seen these. I love the gold Delta, but that premium - wow! Interesting to see if it stays at that level or comes off a bit.
