Hey folks, just found this website in hopes to learn more about silver. Before leaving canada about a month ago, while at the currency exchange, I purchased some 1oz Silver Maple Leafs. They worked out to be $24.14CDN/oz. Now living in Brisbane, I'm hoping to start investing in some more every month. It would be my way of "saving money". I'm quite interested in those Silver Stacker bars from Ainslie Bullion. Is Ainslie a good place to purchase from, and also what are some other places? Also, my current coins are in the tubes they came in and I never touch them or have them out. How safe is it to have the bars out if I have them stacked together, or should I try to leave all silver in packaging it comes in. That's why I like the stackers but if they're better to be kept in plastic or packaging I can get something else too. Thanks for any answers and I'll be sure to check out more of the website
Hi Welcome I find toning on bars adds character, plus bars are generally close to spot unless you are buying something exotic or numi
Welcome, you you found any suppliers of root beer as yet? As above bars are generally close to spot price but some people like them shiney, others like banged up ugly bars, some go nuts over swirls but most just love getting the most bang for their buck & find them easy to flip. It all comes down to personal preferance, enjoy & welcome.
Thanks for all the responses. After reading a bunch on the site I'm a little bummed about my silver maples and the milking they are prone to. I'm doing much more reading and learning more and more. Thanks you there's so much than just "buy silver".
Also, I assume it would be best to keep all receipts of your purchases. Or does it not really matter?
Your awareness gives you more of a chance than most. Don't fall for hugging a koala though, if someone offers you one....they really don't like you. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-01-14/koala-chlamydia-disease-at-all-time-high/7088266
Hi Nisaac86, there's city gold bullion over at Mt Gravatt. I've only visited there once. But I shan't be going back to Ainsley any time soon Don't write off getting your bullion via the mail. Your best deals will be coming from the likes of Goldstackers or any of the reputable members here! And you only have to wait a few days to get your metal.
Wlecome What made you choose Brissy? Ainslie bars are fine, recognized and low premium so good buy to maximize the ounces.
I was thinking that as well, what made you choose Brisbane?...anywhere in Australia is fine to live...even Adelaide or Hobart Cheers, HAPPY STACKING
