Hi Everyone, I had a order of silver delivered this week - not a huge amount and had it delivered by express post. I requested express from the seller. I was not aware that when the express post satchels are delivered that they are just left at the front door and not carded if no one is home. My front door is only about 5 metres from the foot path and in plain sight for anyone to see. The package was left on the ground about half a meter from the door. Luckily it was still there when I got home, but it was there for about 8 hours and could have easily been stolen. Has anyone else had this happen and is it normal for it to be left like that?
I work on the road and from home, I've never had a problem with deliveries before. I will be getting a PO box now as suggested by mmm....shiney!
Yep, that's standard. You have to be pretty unlucky to have mail stolen from the front doorstep though.
Yes, getting metal delivered to your home tells the seller where you live, and where you metal is more likely than not to be stored.
Thats true, I had some stuff stolen at a home open in january so now I don't Keep anything valuable at home now. Its just not worth the risk.
