Hokkaido is the first coin in the 47 prefectures series, and is the best looking IMHO.
The pad printing is not as distracting as that on the others.

The two on ebay for $155 and $160 (US) are priced fairly.

The key coin is the Iwate reminted with a date of H24 (2012) mintage of 10,000. Current price about $500.
The normal coin is dated H23 (2011) and can be had for under $100.

I am collecting this series and I love it. Hokkaido is the first one in series and is really a good looking one. Sometimes I see it priced lower on ebay, but most of dealers have the coin priced higher in their webstores.
I was not so interested in this series in the beginning cause of the (apparently) high mintage of 100,000 pcs. In Japan Mint website I read that only 10% of these coins have been sold outside Japan, which is a much lower number, and in any case all early issues are sold out at mint even with this mintage.

As S.Ohno said the key coin of this series is IWATE SPECIAL EDITION issued in 2012 with same design of 2011 one (after this one won a prize or something) but with much lower mintage, unfortunately I bought only one when price was much lower than today.

Another great coin from Japan mint is the Shinkhansen coin:

The price is higher than issue price but I think this will be another best selling coin that will sell in the range of $400 too.

Last, I am collecting also the Earthquake reconstruction set from Japan Mint, I think this is another series great for investment:
