I have 4 x 50 troy ounce silver bars, poured. Purchased from Harringtons in 1975. Want to sell them, what would be the actual approx value?

Unfortunately 50oz bars don't usually attract much of a premium even the older ones.

As a guide I'd only be looking at slightly more than the premium on a modern 50oz bar (maybe an extra couple %)

However, if its got a great patina, and if you have the original 1975 receipts (or original bags/boxes etc) to go with them, then you might be able to get a bigger premium.
Can you post some pics? (do a search to find out how - its a bit harder than normal until you get over 10 posts)
    And welcome.

Ignoring the fact that the auction itself was very poorly run, (which was only appart after the final bid)
This recent result shows a recent similar 50oz vintage bar that only went to about spot.

If it were me, i'd probably just run them into a dealer and get close to spot.

Thank you one and all - I am in East Gippsland and will be going to Melbourne next week. I think I will just go to a dealer and take spot price.

Probably, between $3800 to $4100 in total as today. Close to spot
If you find a right buyer/s you may get more.
Depending on how fast you want to sell them. ;)
