Wouldn't you be happy with yourself if you got away with spending $70 billion of someone elses money?

With the $AU weakened by 30%, we borrow in $US so now we have a real problem. The blues used to say we had to borrow a $100 million a day and threw up their hands in horror...Now, I believe it is a $150 million a day.

Costello warned them both before the last election that we could not afford the NDIS or Gonski but alas no one listened.

Now our mining income has fallen sharply, wherE do we raise $...IFIIN. NO ONE WANTS TO PAY EXTRA TAX.

    Regards Errol 43

Morrison refused to give any details. He did however have a tale about his American mate named Clay who did playful things with alligators. Seriously. He talked about Clay.

We hang on for as long as we can by kicking the can down the road, and then we default. If we do a half decent job then quite likely other major nations will be defaulting before we do, so it'll be accepted practise by the time it happens.

Here is an interesting article about the last time Australia defaulted :-

    http://cuffelinks.com.au/australias-default-part-1-a-primer/

PS - Australia is still one of the few nations still with an AAA credit rating. So while things are sh1te here, we are still doing better than most....now that's a scary thought, huh?

Part 4 of that article was particularly interesting. So many parallels between now and the Great Depression of the 30s. Here's an excerpt, and it details what I think will happen to us too :-

It's fun to blame the politicians for all this, but in part it is the fault of citizens who vote for the man or woman who promises the most free $h!t and/or to take the most from the wealthy to give to the sheeple.

If that $$$ were going into his pockets or his friends' large companies with no bid gov contracts (like we have here in the US often) I would say blame the gov, but when that money is for welfare and other sheeple freebies I say it's the citizens' fault just as much.

It's like the sheeple want their free $h!t and then complain when the money is gone/debts go up.

    Just my opinion.

Even when the people think they vote from someone, that person is back-stabbed by their own party and replaced with someone else.
There's been many coups over the last 9 years...
e.g. Kevin Rudd being replaced by Julia Gillard, and years later Julia Gillard getting replaced by Kevin Rudd. Most recently, Tony Abbott getting booted out by Malcolm Turnbull.

Basically, it is all a sham sprinkled with an illusion of choice. No matter who people vote for, it will not make a difference as long as they are voting for politicians.

All a big load of propaganda.

They want more and are set to take more. These things are just to install fear so that they can take more.

Look at Morrison laughing as he waffles on, saying nothing of substance beyond admitting the currant government made no progress at all in improving the budget since getting elected. He knows he can get away with it now.

I will not vote Liberal. Looking for fiscally and socially conservative party to vote for. But wait! Preference voting forces me to vote for someone I don't want. Might vote informal this time.

Don't waste your vote, cast it in this direction for a fiscally conservative party.

Vote LDP, because they're actually fiscally conservative the Coalition of Never-Ending Spending are trying to pass legislation to kick them out of the Senate.
