Im considering buying a monster box of 2010 american eagles for $11000 off someone i know. Is that a good deal? Personally i think it is (calculated to be $22 a coin).
Just keep in mind that it's generally a bit harder to sell ASE's in Australia, when compared to Perth Mint stuff. Quite rare for someone to want a large stash of ASE's unless they are close to spot.
I would turn that down on principle. If spot moved then it might be justified, but a price hike like that is just wankery.
Because i accepted $11000 straight away and didnt negotiate with him i think he got the idea that his price was too low.
That's wrong. You agreed on a price then he suddenly wants $1000 more? Still not a bad price but should reject it on principle. Tell him on second thought you want it for $1000 less.
I would say at that price I would like to negotiate a better deal because of the wholesale volume or he could ask that price and sell by the roll or on a coin by coin basis.
Counter offer him 10k He cant sell that to a dealer for that price not many people have spare 10k Tell him deal is good for 1 day only
Errr isn't that 40 cents a coin over spot? At $11k I'll split them with you if you're on the fence. No kidding I actually will. PM me, maybe I can call him and work him from the other end.
Sounds familiar to a seller I heard. If he find himself selling too cheap, he will either tell you it's sold or someone else offer a higher price.
Even $12K is cheap, $11K would be a steal, maybe try meet half way at $11,5K that's still a great deal, just check they are legit If anyone wants to sell me American eagle monsters for $11Kea I'm buying atm
