Sounds like mad demand in China, and none of them are making it out the country, could be a key size

As collector I will not buy it as long as it higher than 80 per pieces. That is too high for a bullion for 800k mintage

There's some on eBay for 79.95. I'm gonna risk and wait and hope for more stock.I have notifications in on every site I could find. Here's to hoping.

Yes, you have already doubled your investment, just at OMP stage, and heading for a tripling. Congrats. Always best to get these things on release. So far, not many of these new release coins and medals fall below their initial price offerings. So you have no where else to go but higher, barring an act of God. I believe these 1g coins have potential.

Determine your price point ahead of time and be ready to pull the trigger as soon as you find one that suits you. Affordably priced 1g coins don't last for long online. Better still call around by phone and talk to people. That's how I know some got theirs more affordably. The going rate on eBay now is $89 or more per OMP coin in a 10 coin sheet.

That's not happening, but I did pick up some from bullionexchanges the other day when they breifly came back. I can't believe the 3g is going for $170+ on ebay right now.

Yes, Monday evening bullionexchanges listed four 3g pandas ($160+ at their ebay store, $146+ on their website). Since we found them for $118 each before, I didn't want to be greedy, plus I wanted to see how long it would take for them to sell out . . . it didn't take long!

I expected them to jack the premiums up again since they sold all the ones they had listed at $100 in short order. At this point I do think more will surface between now and October, but even so I doubt the premiums will come down below $75 each. I'm counting the days for our order to come in ;-)

It's now $119.99-124.79 (depending on your mode of payment) at APMEX. There must be something in the air or water!

The 2016 1g gold coin is predicted to be a key coin but that is still something to be determined in future.

The first test of strength for this coin both in China and overseas will come after the 2016 Chinese New Year celebrations are over.
