    What is a Mandala?

The meaning of mandala comes from Sanskrit meaning "circle." It appears in the Rig Veda as the name of the sections of the work, but is also used in many other civilizations, traditions, religions and philosophies. Even though it may be dominated by squares or triangles, a mandala has a concentric structure. Mandalas offer balancing visual elements, symbolizing unity and harmony. The meanings of individual mandalas is usually different and unique to each mandala. See more in "Product description".

Highly detailed design...very nice. Low mintage...I like. And yet still, I prefer Chinese medals.

The mint gave us an exclusive code for further discount if anybody is after one. Just type AGAUNEWS at checkout for 5% off the discounted price. It's not an affiliate code, we don't get anything from it; just thought it would be good.

We've got some better images in our post without the embargo on them, just a light site watermark which we had to do. http://agaunews.com/?p=20312

The Chinese medals are often so much better then anything else that I wonder why it is that no one else can even come close? What are they doing that no one else can?

Because other mints across the globe are too busy cranking out all those milk-spots, abrasions & die-fatigued coins..

That's a beauty of a coin for sure. Not much meat left on the bone at that price and in this market IMHO.

The coin is super in person. I saw the last release at a show this weekend and it is really great in hand. The problem is they are asking too much for it out of the gate. I just don't see the upside potential on it.

PM doesn't have to be a business and when you buy you don't always have to keep in mind the potential revenue it could bring if you decide to sell later.

People should start to buy what they like and stick with it. This is a collector piece, not a bullion.

I Disagree. And I am a collector not a flipper BUT...I always keep in mind the "what if I die and my wife has to sell my collection for whatever reason, God forbid" question. With a piece like this and at this price multiple or premium I would only buy for myself to hold and appreciate. But I certainly don't want my estate to take a loss on it. That's just not a good way to look at things IMHO. Every purchase I make from houses and cars to stocks or mutual funds, I analyze the returns; past, present and what can happen in the future. This coin is far from bullion, but every collector piece I buy won't be used in the afterlife so ...
Agreed that people should buy what they like, but if they like dog crap they better find a way to liquidate it.

And yes, I opened an account with them and got the discount. Cheers

Nothing wrong with trying to buy really cool pieces of "PM-art" (i.e., collector / numi items) which one's heirs also would probably agree is pretty darn cool -- so much so, that they'd actually want to keep the thing, themselves, after we pass on.

Of course, also nothing wrong with attempting to gently groom one's successors for the eventual collection, as well..

So the newest Mandala Art coin has grown on me since first seeing comments by other members about it in this forum. I'm hoping someone does a video on it but I found these pics:

and knowing that First Coin Co. gives a 3% discount with the code THANKYOU and free shipping, it seems that would be the best place to buy it https://firstcoincompany.com/S/fiji...-ultra-high-relief-malachine-stone-inlay-3-oz

If anyone has this coin already, please share a video if you can. Or, if you come across a video for it, share....I'm sure it looks better than in the flat pictures.

EDIT: I just now saw AgAuNews' post re:

" Just posted up videos and images of actual coins from Berlin is anybody is interested.
