You can now purchase eBay-branded gold and silver bars on the eBay website. According to Coin-World: "the two products currently available are a 1-ounce .9999 fine gold bar fabricated by the Perth Mint and a 10-ounce .9999 fine silver bar produced by the Royal Canadian Mint." http://www.coinworld.com/news/preci...branded-precious-metals-enter-market.all.html I do not know how to post pictures, but you can view the eBay listings for these products here. eBay Silver Bar (Royal Canadian Mint): http://www.ebay.com/itm/FIRST-EVER-...434878?hash=item4d3e1af13e:g:4OgAAOSwYIhWl~YK eBay Gold Bar (Perth Mint): http://www.ebay.com/itm/FIRST-EVER-...434985?hash=item4d3e1af1a9:g:OlcAAOSwLN5Wl~aH
Did have a quick look.... $5 for Au??? FAKES??? Hmm... Not going to touch with a 10 foot Barge Post!!!
Not sure where you saw that figure, but according to the listing, the prices are not out of line with the market: Perth Mint 1oz Gold Bar = US $1,181.80 [1061 Sold] RCM 10oz Silver Bar = US $163.50 ($16.35oz) - [6553 Sold] Also I don't think Perth, RCM, or eBay would tolerate fakes being sold in the quantities shown, especially by a very reputable US dealer.

Sorry, ChipMunk: The eBay link you posted is NOT the one I posted - If you compare the URL, you can see that we are looking at very different listings. It is possible that you are not in the US, and are being redirected to a different eBay site? I am not familiar with the location shown in your profile, but I know that different countries show different listings, even when people search for the same things. You might enter the following into the eBay search line to find the listing I am refering to: Search for - "FIRST-EVER eBay & RCM 10oz .9999 Fine in Assay Silver Bar" or "FIRST-EVER eBay & Perth Mint 1oz Gold Bar .9999 Fine in Assay" the correct listings should show up. eBay Silver Bar (Royal Canadian Mint): http://www.ebay.com/itm/FIRST-EVER-eBay SwYIhWl~YK eBay Gold Bar (Perth Mint): http://www.ebay.com/itm/FIRST-EVER-eBay SwLN5Wl~aH
its an auction chip with a low starting price, you should try it sometime doesn't mean it will sell for $5 or that it is fake, it just means that it will sell again unlike your auctions
