So I received a promotional e-mail today from NGC which talks about their "advanced" coin holders. In one paragraph, the e-mail noted the following:

" NGC has holders that can encapsulate coins of virtually every size from 1 gram to 10 kilograms "

Honestly, I don't know any publicly offered 10 kilo coin other than the Perth Mint Lunar series 10 kilo coins.

Is it possible that NGC is now capable of slabbing one of those massive beasts?

I am not sure what size slab this of for, but it seems that this might go close to 10 ounces or 1 kilo if required......

Got to admit the 10 kilo slab must be massive.

NGC has 2 slab sizes for kilo coins..

This looks to be the larger of the pair.

And as he said, definite overkill..

Probably a good idea to get the 10kilo coins slabbed, otherwise would be a storage nightmare to store them. If they are slabbed they will fit nicely on a shelf or large bookcase. :D

They'd make for awesome jumbo-sized dominos! Imagine a chain of toppling dominos comprised of slabbed 10 kilo silver coins....that last one would sure make a huge sound as it toppled to the floor! :)
