Looks to me like the ones to have are the Gold BU fractionals, and the Silver 1oz Reverse Proof . . . I'm hoping the 2016 libertads appear early in 2016, but since Banco de Mexico likes to be unpredictable, we'll have to wait and see . . .
BullionMoney in Sydney has plenty of 1oz 2015 Libertads. $27 - $29 depending on quantity ordered. https://bullionmoney.com.au/products/silver/silver-coins
2014 mintages are considerably lower in the Libs I have most interest in. 2014 may be more of a key issue year it seems. .
Yep. 2014 is definitely a key year due to the very low mintage relative to other recent years. Grab any 2014 Libs if you can still get them cheap!
Even though the hype about 2015 mintages being comparable to 2014 mostly didn't pan out, I am wondering if the 2016 mintages will be much higher than the 2015. I half expect them to crank production way up similarly to what we saw when the Britannias went from .958 to .999 purity in 2013.
I will take 500 mintage on all the gold proofs I got! These explain why I could find and by gold Libs, those are quite low!
Thanks for the Update i hope you are right with the numbers walked into a 2015 1/4oz gold bu for a reasonable price with a mintage of 390 now thats nice !
Yea they have gone up. Last Black Friday when was just a newbie stacker I passed them up for a roll of kooks. Provident was selling them for like 18.xx if my memory serves me... I might grab a couple more 1/10 gold bu that are still available, 12xx isn't a bad mintage.
There were 500 APMEX 1oz Ag Two-Coin (Proof/Reverse Proof) sets and 1000 Three-Coin (Bullion/Proof/Reverse Proof)1oz Ag Banker's Sets for a total of 1500 1oz Ag Reverse Proof coins. Cheers, Luker http://www.apmex.com/product/91150/2015-mexico-2-coin-silver-libertad-proof-reverse-proof-set
So it looks like these are probably the correct mintage numbers although I still cant see anything official by the mint if anyone has the official source please post. What really surprises me is how difficult it is to find the 1/4 oz proof silver , I have scoured every place I can think of and can not come up with a single one other than the sets and a few super expensive pf 70 graded on ebay, meanwhile the ebay market is flooded with the 2 and 5 oz proofs which should dry up at some point. As silly as it seems the 1/4 oz proof silver looks like it may really be the key coin of this year, unless the mint is still shipping these, but from people I have talked to everyone should have their full allocations by now. If anyone has a good source for the 1/4 oz silver proof please post it .
Came across this today. Excellent article. http://www.coinweek.com/bullion-rep...silver-gold-libertads-2015-overview-analysis/
