This is not an invitation for you to ruin the thread. I have chosen not to delete yours comments. I will let the others members in the forum to decide. I am sure other members are interested in the finding too. Do you know?
Are you sure? Did you know that rodent urine fluoresces under UV light - fresh rodent urine fluoresces bluish-white, dry rodent urine fluoresces yellow-white. Check that you don't have a rodent infestation, Chip
I was thinking more along these lines....
what's the point of putting everything under a $10 UV light exactly? It's just an average pouch for what would have been a very cheap blob of metal. No CSI needed.
Hi Chips pm'd you but no response, just wondering if you can have a look on the above card and see the name of the person who signed the card is it George Williams, quite important, can you post here or pm me please. cheers
Have been sick in sick bed, Need I say more... G W Williams = George Walter Williams was director in charge of the Perth Mint from 24/02/1984 to 04/07/1986. So these were produced between 1984 - 1986, time frame when the bars was produced. See link http://forums.silverstackers.com/message-696183.html#p696183
Hi Chips, sorry to get you out of bed hope your feeling better tomorrow anyway thanks for the confirmation, just negotiated (with the wife of George) to purchase the original scales (with all the brass weights) presented to George W Williams on his retirement from the mint, will be meeting her tomorrow, will post some pictures.
Please read post #1, The highest Bar Number so far seen approximately 2000+ I wont go in details, as a lot of members here, does'nt appreciates my feedback. Especially: SM, EM, CH Best is to do your own research. Otherwise just pm me for more details.
Thank you to the members who spoke with me, not many of these bars have survived, best estimates suggest maybe less 60 are floating around and this figure may be overly generous.
Is 5oz the rarest size in poured bar? How about 1oz poured bar? Just learning the ropes in Perth vintage bars.
