Shame the face values are not proportionate to the weight.

I, for one, am not bothered with the move from troy ozs to grams; and love the design. Will definitely get some of these.

GP - Will GS stock these whenever hey are available?

Weight & purity are back on 'em, and the diameter stays the same?

You know, I'm starting to warm back up to the idea of buying them again -- at least moreso than the 2015 (which isn't saying much  ).

I have no issue buying bars that are stamped in grams. Why not modern coins?

Doesn't mean I'm happy about it.. But at least it's better than nothing.

And as long as the price is 3.5% less.. ;)

    do sovereigns come in 1oz?
they ain't even 999 gold yet no-one has a problem with them.

half sovereign, full sovereign, where's the oz?

It makes total sense to me that grams are best

1oz is crap, and people get confused because there's 2 different ounces, troy and avoirdupois ounce.
easy to trick a villager in china to say his 1 oz is 28 grams, grams there's no mistake.

    I love it.

and we mentioned the 2015 panda's to be transitional didn't we? well there ya go, the odd one out, keep stacking!
    in grams!

I don't mind these too much and I defiantly don't mind anything in the metric system, the only thing is they weigh less than the previous years and somehow I feel the premium will be inflated that little bit more and the price will be the same as if you're buying a 1 oz and you will always be short-changing yourself in ounces.

Anyone know if the 1 kg is going to be proof or will they sell as normal bullion for once. I'd really like to buy a 1 kg panda at a normal 1 kg coin price.

kg pandas and the 5oz did all carry a hugh premium as the mintage is limited.
it will bw the same for 2016.
1000gr panda is limited to 20.000, 150gr Panda to 50.000

no chanche to get them near spot.

also the new 50, 100 gr gold coins will not be comparable to
    prices of 30gr coins

Eh, just me, but I take issue with something not having its purity & weight stamped on it, for a variety of reasons.

I actually don't own any raw sovereigns, even though I like the designs. Lack of purity & weight is just one reason why I don't.

One exception I make is old slabbed numi's. And even then, some of them still have weight & purity on the coins.

Anyway, understood that many don't mind -- but some do.

BTW, China could have still done away with the oz thing, and just stamped 31.1g, instead.. A number of coins already do that.

    hey panda lover,

Any one realise something of the 2014, 2015 and 1995 and 2016 panda bullion coin design ? 2014 and 2015 same designer the design of the panda only slightly difference; one the panda is facing left and another is facing right and not much changes in panda design just direction.

What happen to 2016??? The designer is 2014 and 2014 designer for 2016 silver bullion panda.

C this 1995 1/2 oz silver panda and 2016 30 gram silver panda.
