Now, I know to a lot of you what I'm about to say is no big deal but to me it is very exciting. I have to share with someone and you guys are IT!!!! I bought my first 'stack' of silver today!!!!! Just went to the shop and bought a pile and brought it home in my hot sweaty little hands ... well in a box, actually, but you get the picture. Now I am the proud owner of 3 tubes? of coins and a couple of bars ... and a really cute Alice in Wonderland clock set in a 2oz engraved coin. The last item wasn't really in the plan and rather expensive but it was soooo cute and as there were only 2,500 made I decided it was worth it as a little pressie pour moi ... and maybe a bit of an investment down the track. It actually works and as I have a bit of a clock fetish it is a double pleasure. Anyway, I'll stop boring you all now and go and find somewhere to hide my new stash. :D :D :D
Also, I just want to say thank you to all who gave me advice yesterday .. you'll be pleased to know I listened and acted on what was said. :) x

So nice to see the enthusiasm.

    Enjoy..........

Do NOT share the joy with workmates etc.

I bought 2015 Kookas, Eagles and Koalas and a couple of kg buy back PM bars. Going back in a couple of days to buy some of the Engelhard bars.

You don't know where I live so it's okay. But it's not staying here long anyway. :D

Interesting... After your first post I had the impression that you would have bought low premium.

The bars were low premium but I decided that I would get some pretties too .. I'm a sucker for 'pretty and cute'. :D

  12. Fantastic start, I feel excited for you myself and I hope you never lose the pleasure and thrill of that purchase.
The shine has tarnished a little for me with these years of falling and then flat spot but I still can't resist buying a little more shiny bling now and then.
The clock sounds wonderful, I admit I'm a little envious of you about that one.
That's a fantastic choice. Likely a good investment potential and something you can cherish and enjoy in the mean time. I can never resist such things.
Pay no attention to the paranoid ole granny's here.
There's no problem in keeping some of your stash at home with you.
It would be prudent not to talk to people about it who do know you though, that is very true.

Nice start Georgie, buying metal is alike a drug. You always chase that first high....

Must admit that my first Kilobar and full ounce of gold were highlights for me. I will never sell either unless everything else is gone.

    Congrats GeordiGirl!

I found that if I don't treat myself regularly to pretty silver, then I start to loose interest in stacking the junk silver.

So, by all means, treat yourself regularly to Alice in Wonderland or to other pretty silver! In my view, there's no wrong way to buy silver if you are getting it at a fair market price when the spot for silver is as low as it is these days.
