I just received via email today an announcement for a new coin I've not seen on the market before...the 2015 Burning Maple Skull silver ruthenium and gold plated 1 oz coin. The skull, in my opinion, looks awesome as far as graphics go but you can be the judge yourself.... I was reading about the coin here thinking that 2015 ought to be named the year of the skull : https://firstcoincompany.com/S/cana...er-coin-2015-black-ruthenium-gold-plated-1-oz It appears as if the First Coin Co. in California is the exclusive distributor in the U.S. and Canada. Works for me. .
I suspect these will be bought up quickly , I did well on the first burning maples, but wont be getting any of these although I think I am going to wish I had of ... eh cant buy everything.. :/
Just in time for Halloween 2016.. The gilded & ruthenium-plated silver Maple, featuring a flaming bag of dog-poo left at an unsuspecting doorstep...
I just realized this coin ships in January. Look ma, a silver Canadian Maple Leaf with no milk spots! So rare! .
I think this coin is soooo ugly! Come on guys! ML is a classic, "burning" and "skulls" are hipe at the moment so what are we going to do? A burning skull maple! This starts to be really ridiculous. The level of imagination is currently so low in some mints, it's embarassing.
"This is not a coin for the grumpy, but a super hot coin for those who are young of heart and seek a bit of innocent fun. Overall it makes a unique gift and perfect addition to almost any collection this is probably the under statement of the year. Who am I kidding? This coin kicks ass 24/7 and is certainly not for the faint-hearted." Source: http://www.newcoinreleases.com/cana...kull-1-oz-ruthenium-gold-plated-color-silver/
Don't take it too serious. It is all tongue-in-cheek. As the saying goes: "Different strokes for different folks."
