Someone has been unloading 2011 atb coins both provident and jm bullion are having sales on them. It's to bad there the most produced coins of the series. Nonetheless good if you trying to catch up on the series. http://www.jmbullion.com/on-sale/ http://www.providentmetals.com/featured/america-the-beautiful-bank-vault-hoard.html. Cheaper than current releases. Anyone know how much roughly these coins were when released?
Premium of $9.75 per coin = over $250 http://www.pcgs.com/News/Mint-Offers-2011-5-Oz-America-The-Beautiful-Coins-To
So basically these are just bullion coins? Sorry I have not be following these at all. So like $2 over spot per OZ? or nearly $10 a coin?
Actually, I'm seeing $3.75 /oz over spot...which in the end is still a really great price considering that people were paying $200 - $300 per coin during some months of 2011 if I recall correctly reading about. I suppose that could also mean that if someone was forced to sell a large number of these coins recently, and they bought them with a similar premium when spot was in the USD $40 - $49, they probably lost a lot of money by doing that. .
Yes, of course, the mintage of the "P" version for those particular designs is significantly lower: http://www.coinnews.net/2015/01/09/america-the-beautiful-5-oz-silver-coin-sales-from-2010-to-2014/ .
Sell-out alert! The 2015 Blue Ridge Parkway "P" coin has sold out. "As it stands now, the 2015-P Blue Ridge Parkway Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin has the lowest total [mintage] in the collector series since the 2012 coin honoring Denali National Park in Alaska." http://www.coinnews.net/2015/10/30/blue-ridge-parkway-5-oz-silver-uncirculated-coin-sells-out/ .
Another 2015 5 oz silver ATB "P" sells out....Great Sand Dunes no longer available: http://news.coinupdate.com/u-s-mint-sales-report-great-sand-dunes-5-oz-unc-coin-sells-out/ .
Just went to APMEX, the price for 1-9 units is $98.85....amazing how a few cents change in the spot price will do that. .
They do that too but I know that when I checked, silver just spiked up. Either way, it's still a very good price for a series that seems to be selling out quicker each successive year. .
