While Im collecting the 1oz kooks and koalas, Im semi undecided if I should continue collect further years for the next 25yrs atleast (under 35 i am) or just use that money else where and score more round 50s, 1oz and 10oz silver bars ? Im I did continue collecting the 1oz kooks and koalas I could have a 50yr complete collection of 1oz kooks and a 33yr complete collect of 1oz kolas where all the money spent to complete the collections could be more wisely spent elsewhere for a potential better return... Any thoughts ??? By the way Im in for long term investing with my silver stacking. Cheers, HAPPY STACKING
So your thoughts SilverDJ is to continue collecting the 1oz kooks and koalas into the further as opposed to stop collecting and using that money elsewhere within silver stacking... I must admit thinking of looking back over time at a 50yr complete collection of 1oz kooks and 33yr complete collection of 1oz koalas does sound nice, hmm... Cheers, HAPPY STACKING
For me, if you already have complete sets, you shouldn't even ask yourself this question. Adding each year the new coin is very cheap. Just think about this: what is the amount of money you would pay by 2025 in order to buy 2016/2017/2018 and 2019 coins? You're gonna pay quite a premium! So if you decide today to stop collecting these but then change your mind it's gonna cost you. Thinking reverse, let's say you're still not sure and you keep buying. In 2020 you are 100% sure you wanna stop these series. Well, you are going to win money cause you're gonna sell your 2016/2017/2018 coins with a premium! Keep buying. End of discussion
PShhhhhh Ditch the kooks they are ugly. Koala's are where its at. (This is a biased opinion as I don't like birds)
go the kooks all the way [imgz=http://forums.silverstackers.com/uploads/1123_home_photos_301.jpg][/imgz]
This brings up who thinks the square cap kooks command and will hold there extra price over the round cap kooks, Im referring to 1990 - 1999 ? Cheers, HAPPY STACKING
i do not think the square capped kooks hold that much premium over the round caps as you could simply take out a toned original kook and replace it with a nice shiny remint kook you would not know the difference. [imgz=http://forums.silverstackers.com/uploads/1123_img_2231.jpg][/imgz]
Also off this topic but the remints to my understanding, if an intended year did not reach there max mintage then the remint of that year is there to bring it up to there intended max mintage is this correct ? Has Perth Mint stopped remints for all years now ? and its only the originals and what remints they did remint floating around now ?, has Perth Mint adjusted there mintage figures that anyone knows of ? Cheers, HAPPY STACKING
