Zombucks, Labors of Hercules, Perth Lunar, Birds of Prey, etc... what is your favorite series? Do you buy them purely because you enjoy collecting a series? Or are you collecting a whole series to turn a profit due to the collector value? What is it about a coin series that appeals to you? Thanks!
i like the privateers, and doing the 2oz perth lunars. I'm trying to collect and collect profit due to collector value but mainly to hedge.
There are many series that I like and all of them could be my favorite so these are, in no particular order (with a sample coin from each series) a few of my favorites: A) U.S. Mint - America the Beautiful (P) 5 oz silver coin series B) Helvetic Mint - Swiss Wildlife Ultra High Relief silver coin series C) Shanghai Mint - World Heritage medal series D) Shanghai New Century Metals - Lunar Animals 120mm medal series E) Son Montuno Mint - SkullCoins 2015 Zodiac Memento Mori series F) Elemental and Provident Metals - American Landmarks Series 2 oz High Relief silver rounds G) Mint of Poland - Imperial Art Series .
pandas for sure, best hedge over the last 4 years with declining POS. second are PM lunars and ruanda african ounce
worst experiance with the low premium rounds i know most here prefer the low premius but experiance ...
Kooks and Koalas, although Im thinking I should get into Lunars hmm...any thoughts ??? Cheers, HAPPY STACKING
Nice sampling, mmissing.. We share some similar tastes. Though to be fair to the coins & rounds out there.. Agree or disagree, but I don't consider medals to be in that category (or even in the same league  ), due to their inherent nature..
In some instances, the line between coin and medal seems to be disappearing slowly. The Swiss Wildlife coin for example has no rim and about the highest relief I've ever seen on a coin (at least on the reverse (non-Queen effigy) side....it's like a medal in that respect. I forget if its faces are oriented like a medal or a coin when flipped. I know you're going to say that no coin compares to the Chinese high relief medals....and while that may be true, I like the direction of high relief that a number of mints are going in with their coins and medals. I applaud that and will support them by buying the high relief coins and rounds that I like. I think high relief coins and rounds will get better from hereon in....some are already excellent in my view. .
