If you were forced to liquidate for whatever reason (financial, Mad Max apacalypse scenario...) all of your silver bullion and then all of your numismatic/semi-numismatic coins, which would be the last-coin standing? ( For me it would be my 2013 kilo Silver Proof-like Libertad..perhaps cheating I bit since I have two of those) ...to make things more fair, let's say that it has to be a 1oz silver coin (at least 0.925Ag) , and from 1975 onwards...(pre-modern day could be another thread) Cheers, Luker
Hmm interesting question. I suppose it will have to be the 5oz Chinese Ancient Mythical Creatures silver coin.
Other than a few round fifties, I have some '37 and '38 Crowns, which I consider proto-fifties, that I would probably hang on to.
Definitely my Chinese medals like this one: ....the first medal / coin I ever purchased long before I ever even thought about silver as a precious metal. .
Either kilo Aztec or Winged Victory. After looking up the premiums on Aztecs, it would be far easier to hold onto the smaller coin so I'll say that would be last to go. Good taste in the Lib being your last to go
I would keep Spiderman as there is no way I am getting back the premium on this one!! Purchased in a weak (slightly inebriated ) moment
Probably NORFED copper prototypes since 2 of them were maybe probably made in quantity of not more than 3! Source: https://sites.google.com/site/libertydollarencyclopedia/known-prototypes And also 2nd my "preciousss" thing is not silver, it's 1 oz gold bar I received for some special occasion. So probably last silver would be then NORFED Euro, with incredible number, 42! Source: https://sites.google.com/site/libertydollarencyclopedia/one-ounce-silver-series
Thanks! I have this set, graded. Liberty one was first known and it was also available with reeded edge. The ones with smooth edge surfaced about a year ago. It's believed that only few were made. Quality of picture is pretty bad. I own Euro #42. Pictures courtesy from the seller:
This is really nice one! For sure one of the coolest Great Wall medals! Is this one that is being sold on eBay for few thousand bucks?
Those mexicans make great sets, so big and perky. I mean, round, no, i mean shiny. So big and shiny. I love them big round libs. My keepers for sure. El Mucho busto por favor!
