How about this then? Similar spec to the Wildlife Protection series we all know, it's the first in a new series called Evolution of Life. Red-gold gilding, I for one thinks its brilliant, but will admit to bias as I love prehistoric coins.

Depends on the coins that follow this one, it's pretty and quality, but boring in my opinion.
I'll grab one in the hopes the next coin has a more interesting fossil.

Early price is around $125 so not too bad at all.

I like it, more just for its simplicity - not a whole bunch of shlock and gimmickry. They could go a long way with fossils in a series.

CIT has some other interesting coins being released at Chicago ANA, in the past that has had a lot of weak releases.

It really is a cool looking coin.

I have a real ammonite from the days I was involved with a Gem and Mineral club here in my neck of the woods. I totally like the whole fibonacci spiral thing and ammonites are kind of like the natural version of the fibonacci spiral.

I purchased my 2015 Evolution of Life coin a couple days ago from First Coin Company before the prices started going up on these neat coins.

was someone able to get one @apmXX ? What price did they ask ?

Checked each day and it is listed now - but no stock.
Must be only a short timeframe to order.

FCC is out of stock too.

Only managed to order one from Invercoin (i think they increased prices too). They had a household limit of 1 coin, which says alot.

Hope I manage to get my order though, since it is a pre-sale.

They will deliver, I have bought coins at the lower price before from them and delivered NP. A lot of dealers now increase their prices on "hot" coins based on how many they sell and how fast etc.

Its kinda sucks but it keeps flippers from buying up all their stock on "hot coins" at the low price to flip for a profit, so why not make the extra profit themselves, if i were a dealer i would likely do the same thing.

Yeah, seems like they are bumping up the prices. I'm just waiting to receive it in hand before I can judge how well the series will do.
