Yet another presentation case we'll never see in Australia. I'm assuming "the infection" is milkspots.

Unfortunately it is too late for me. I have the infection. :(

All of these were previously kept carefully in capsules, or in tubes:

    Now I get it!

Zombucks were referring to the MILKSPOT APOCALYPSE!

The infection started in Canada with the RCM Maples and has now spread to the Perth Mint.

Zombucks warned us, BUT WE DIDN'T LISTEN!!1!!!

Damn. As soon as I see that kind of riddling on PM coins, I finshed with them. I'll just collect chinese medals and the lowest possible priced govt. issued coin for stacking. This year was the first in a few years I did not buy the 1 oz Lunar due to premium and potential for spots. No thanks.

Back to the box. It's a fun design, and it's great that it can be hung on a wall.

Why is it no one in Aus does this sort of stuff? We have to go to the U.S., Germany or China to source quality and creative presentation cases.

I was like AWESOME because I was looking into getting the full zombuck set, but unfortunately they only come with all the coins. I could of stomached paying 100 dollars for that, but he chose to include full silver and charge 500.

Grow them out to toning, & they will look great :p

I have done this to a few coins that i thought were cows due to spotting, & have since had better offers for them than if they be shinnies. :D

That's a very good idea. Did you do anything to accelerate the toning process?

    That truly does look bad!!

As soon as I got mine from the mail, I put them in air-tite capsules RIGHT AWAY and put them in the display box Provident has made.
I thank goodness mine look just like new and hope that never happens to mine.

Isn't it basically a $40 cardboard box with not even magnets to seal the lid?

Pretty much. I bought it cause I wanted to house them in the 'official' box, but when I got it.. yeah.. it's cheap. I wasn't too thrilled about it.

There are no magnets, it is just plain cardboard, all black, and yeah.. nothing special about it.
The price was too high for that cheap thing but it's just like any clothing merchandise. A shirt is a shirt until you slap a logo on it.
When you buy the box from PM, you are paying that much for the 'nice' (sarcastic) logo in the front. And even then, there are no nice designs. All it says is "Zombucks. Currency of the Apocalypse."

I am glad they learned from that lame and effortless attempt when they made the 'Hercules 12 Labors' series box.
That one had magnets, and seemed sturdier, had the logo in the front with a faded lion in the back. When you open it, there is the logo again with the names of each coin (the labors). The is a lot more colors and it look nice.

Wow. Provident never said that the apocalypse they were referring to was the Milk Spot Apocalypse. Secondary generic silver bucket under the LCS front counter, here we come!

On the topic of cool box, I'd love to see a box designed like a high tech safe, but made out of Perspex so you could see the coins displayed along with some cool mechanical locking mechanism. Obviously it wouldn't be a safe safe, just a decorative safe.

I could find a transparent one, but maybe something with a door like this:

Holy moly. Do you soak those in water Pete? Geesh. Might as well spray paint those things white. Hope you didn't pay a premium on those?

They were in very tightly sealed capsules. I did pay a bit of a premium but I only had two of them fortunately. This milk spotting thing is just crazy. I have some really old Perth Mint 1oz Kooks, not even in capsules, and they are still good with no spots. Something must have changed over the years for this to start happening so frequently to newer coins.
