Thanks to wrcmad for highlighting my previous call of dropping to US$14/15, from 2 years ago. We've had a few touches of this price point now over the past approx 6-9months. Where to next? I believe now that the price has consolidated, precious metals will most likely drop even further... Reasonable chance we'll see sub US$10 silver. Still too many bulls in this market, not enough crying yet.
$10 would be amazing. Barring some REAL world disaster i agree with your hypothesis. If it is $10 it will be a quick bounce off back to $11.70 ish for a decade, just like AU $750and bounce to equilibrium at $900's for a decade.
Except in Silversale's case, where he was (IMHO) excessively ridiculed as being unquestionably wrong .... until he was right.
In a zero sum story, what sounds great ends poor. It's just the difference between blabla and boomboom. What is needed to find suckers willing to buy high and to sell low. Just imagine an april 2011 forum cluttered with people that say every day that they sit with their fists hovering their SELL buttons, haha. Instead, the blabla looks like this: $38 04 april 2011 "Great way to start the week......don't you think?" $39 05 april 2011 "39 ...One more step up the ladder" $40 07 april 2011 "Thursday..............Yet another up day" $41 13 april 2011 "Hump Day...........Up Day" $42 14 april 2011 "Killer Thursday............Movin' on up" $43 15 april 2011 "A Fabulous Friday............Great Finish For The Week" $44 19 april 2011 "Monday.........Up Up and Away" $45.5 20 april 2011 "A Whale of a Wednesday............45+" $46.50 21 april 2011 "A Thundering Thursday...............Look at that puppy go!!" $48 25 april 2011 04:09 PM "Monday Mayhem.............Y'all survive? Monday Mayhem............Y'all survive? What a day. Actually, not all that bad. The long term trend is still up. Just a minor bump. A "little" more volatility than usual." $48 29 april 2011 "Silver..........Something to consider" .... 6 juni 2011, title of the thread: "For-those-of-you-that-sold-physical-at-the-top" An answer from the same person as aboves quotes: "A 5 minute call to my bullion dealer. A little friendly haggling over price, and the deal was done. Truck picked up my silver on Wed, funds wired to my account today. You need a very good relationship with your dealer. I've talked to him at least once a week for almost 10 years." They were right, until they were wrong. Actually, right/wrong was irrelevant, it was just blabla inverted to boomboom, for the obvious reason.
Sub US$10 will see many miners go belly-up; this is exactly what I had in mind http://forums.silverstackers.com/topic-65284-silver-miners-bankruptcy-before-the-bottom.html
You can make anyone on this forum look like a genius or an idiot by quoting what they have said in the past, myself certainly included before you go ahead and try. For a prediction to hold any merit, you need to put forward meaningful content to back it up. Where is the meat in the OP needed to start a discussion? Crystal ball predictions deserve no attention, and when that is all you post, then naturally people are going to get sick of it and call you out on it. If you want to boast about your TA prowess (which I keep waiting to see here by the way) then surely your time is better used at hotcopper, not silverstackers.
Looks like I've managed to scrape some nerves again. I best use a scalpel next time instead of a fork. Sorry, I didn't realise TA was banned from Silverstackers.. seems we need to head over to HotCopper wrcmad Creating WTS posts now? I sold years ago at great pricing
An actual TA section on the forum would be nice, if you are complaining by a lack of analysis then post something of your own and create some discussion of value
No, I am actively encouraging you to post TA here, so your posts have merit. Without it who can be sure whether you're legit or getting your claims from some blogger on the internet. If you have the ability to back up your theories you should display that instead of baiting a crowd largely on the opposing side. You and wrcmad are obviously mates, notice wrcmad gets no shit because he backs what he says. Try it, or like I said, find a place more constructive to your investment needs as you're wasting time here.
Who wrote this^^^^ I never use the term "equilibrium". And certainly not spelt correctly. I can not even blame being drunk as i do not drink.
I agree with Aureus. I think Crystal ball predictions do not make an investor in Silver or any asset. Sure you can have a plan for what your buy in and sell out will be, that is prudent. But when you make definite predictions for what will happen in the market and call everyone else silly for not agreeing with them, you open yourself up to be called out. You may get luck a few times, but you wont be right all the time. It is very costly to go all in on a prediction that may not turn out to be right until much later or at all. You should always consider the fact that your reasoning may be wrong or that the timeline won't be right.
