This post appeals to people in the UK more than anyone else.

I hear people talk about buying silver at spot or even less. I've searched high and low and cannot find anything remotely close in the UK. Even with the 20% VAT the prices are still way inflated. It's not really bothered me so much up to now as I've been purchasing very specific coins and have used the exchange rates to aid me getting better deals.

I would like to stock up on plain bullion in what ever form that is at the cheapest prices... Tell me where I can do this? Where do you guys in the UK go?

I'm pretty sure you have asked this before, and I answered it back then.

If you were to buy a tube of maples right now, they would work out at 303.20 delivered, so 12.13 per ounce.

Slightly cheaper per ounce is the 1kg koala at 381.96 delivered, so 11.88 per ounce.

Unlikely you will find much cheaper than that.

Doubt you'll ever get spot on silver purchases just cos of the VAT that gets levied on it!

Guess it's time to move to the US? :p
