I think it looks like a Ladyboy. She is a very handsome woman.

Just got the catalog from perthmint and confirmed this is the design.
Why can't perthmint learn from royal mint and make great looking goddess...

Now I realised my impression of Athena come from Japanese animation  Need to get used to the Greek version :p

    How much?

The Hera coin is good. This Athena is the ugliest lady (or can I say human being) I ever seen in a coin, and in reality.

Perth mint made me vomit every time I saw the Athena coin.

Perth Mint are not responsible for the designs. They simply mint and market to order.

I'd probably throw them on ebay with a BIN of like $250USD, but I am in the US as well.

The Perth Mint Goddesses series designs are a whole lot better than the Globs of Ole-Limp-Puss (Gods of Olympus) in my view....and these Perth Mint Goddess designs are not very good on their own and fall far, far, far short when compared to a medal like the 2012 Transit of Venus:

Experiment failed. Got extremely loaded and still couldn't find her attractive. Thought it I drank enough I could pull the trigger, not this time.

I am confused because reading the comments here in this thread and other threads on the hideously fugly Perth Mint Globs of Ole-Limp-Puss (Gods of Olympus) coins, shows that for many members on this forum who have commented, that buying a hideously fugly Globs of Ole-Limp-Puss coin appears to be an acceptable way to spend ("waste" is the word that first came to mind) money but buying a fugly Goddesses coin is not an acceptable way to spend (waste) money. Please explain this double standard for those who fall into that category.

After all, if aesthetic appeal is that important to those who are frowning upon the Goddesses coins, then why even bother with either of these two Perth Mint coin series...they are both examples of hideously poor designs. Besides, if you spend (waste) your money on either series you are in effect rewarding poor decisions by the Perth Mint and rewarding severely inferior design quality. The Perth Mint is capable of putting out excellent coins, why reward them when they do just the opposite???

j-p-shmorgan. as nabullion said, 'even getting tanked couldn't movitate him to pull the trigger on that fugly thang.' LMAO. Seriously, on the other issues, I can see how a good buzz could dampen the senses, where folks pull the trigger; but on this one? :D Seriously, they'd have to be in a comatose state, and the twitch in a finger, accidentally pulled the trigger to buy something so hideous.

Seriously, that thing is hideous. I'm all for creativity, and being different, but they made this woman a man; a woman is powerful as a woman, no need to make her look like a man. geesh, louise. :/

Perhaps the demand is for the "LOL" factor? :)
