Hi Everyone I have just started stacking silver in Perth, too poor to get into gold in any big way at the moment. I am not convinced on the total collapse of the banking system but want to start a nest egg out of the banks for my family or my old age just in case my super is lost or not enough. I have a feeling this is going to take over my life. I have a few bars to hold as general wealth silver can not get much lower I believe. and am going to get a few 10 oz bars a year along with some of the cheaper silver 1 oz coins which could lead to more of a profit form the collectors. Does that seem to be a reasonable plan?
I think over the long term of say 40 years it has to go up. That's what I am hoping for anyway. In the short term if it drops a lot I will just buy more. In the end it's still something physical that people have wanted to own for hundreds of years and at the very least can hopefully be kept by my children to remember me by.
Welcome!!! Total collapse of the banking system isn't profitable for banks so that's not possible in my opinion either. Good luck with stacking!
