I can't believe the clear strike and colour of this 1900 year old coin. Some Hellenistic Persian silver stacker took good care of this little bugger. It's beautiful in person, I'll take a proper photo with the kit soon, very sharp strike.
My 1st silver bar pour today, took a few attemps and hope it gets a little easier with practise. The bar is a little over 100grams and I poured it from my electric furnace with a 2kg graphite crucible. I need a 1kg crucible as it will be easier to handle and pour into these smaller moulds. Good fun anyway but pleased I geared up with all the safety equipment. Keep stacking. The other side can you spot the rough outline / map of Australia or Africa? Maybe I will get NZ next time Lol
Nice score. Thought the half kg bar would not be something i would buy to hold. It looks a bit on the anemic side.
Thanks guys I was happy to let him ramble and leave it in everyone elses hands to deal with. Appreciated
Nice score. I never have any luck finding the silver souvenir spoons. Ive been through thousands of them and only ever see plated. Nice to see someone is finding them
Picked up a cool 50oz this week. I am working to get 10 x 10oz stackers, just need 3 more to complete the stack. Also, I don't have enough tubes either, so I am focusing on getting more of them.
A 2 oz Skull and 1 oz cube purchased from yeagers poured silver and a little 1oz skull I poured. I really like the yeagers cube silver. Yeagers has a .com site and ebay shop if your interested.
2015 50th Anniversary Australian coin set after a lazy visit to the Australian mint...yep swapped my fiat for more fiat over face value. Crazy :/ but felt that was a fair price for the free tour and check out some sov's and 1930 Penny's.
Nice score. I never have any luck finding the silver souvenir spoons. Ive been through thousands of them and only ever see plated. Nice to see someone is finding them
They were all at the one garage sale too
I live for stories like this This is why I love markets, garage sales and thrift shops, yet to find any silver, but have found some great things They look great!
