    Hello

Where is the best place to buy silver bullion coins of different designs? Without being ripped off like ebay, real shops.

I'm not after the numismatic $50 ones, just after simple different designs but all around the spot price like 20 or under an ounce.

Would like to buy some of those african, soviet, and animal design ones like turtles and such.

    thanks

    Depends where you are?

Do you want to avoid shopping on the internet entirely?

Posting where you are in your profile would be very helpful as we would be able to direct you to the best web or face to face deals.

The fact you have 20 as a guide would suggest you are in the UK (and subject to VAT).

Aussie retailers like Perth Bullion and GoldStackers have a great selection of non-numi bullion coins - but not sure on shipping costs to UK. Maybe build a relationship with some of the members on this forum - they could help with 'gifts'.

He also has a mention of the '$50 numismatic ones' so I have narrowed it down to somewhere with Dollars or Pounds as the currency.

Not sure what the spot price is in pounds but I didn't think it was 20, not that I have looked.

Currently sitting around 10.90 if my conversion is on mark:)
I have said this for a long time and will continue for the foreseeable future "anyone taking bullion in their luggage or pockets to the UK would make a killer profit"
Now it can even be done legally if you take FACE VALUE rounds as this would surely be considered spending money:)
    Sneaky, but legal>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I follow a number of UK youtube coin collectors and pickers and a good deal for them seems to be a average condition Morgan for 20-25.
In Aus money we are talking $38-$47.
Can you imagine what kind of return we could make on $1000 FACE?
Even over here we are only paying $20NZD and up for a average year/cont Morgan

    Trademe.co.nz
Probably shit out of luck for rounds, but if you have a good eye open you will pick up some morgans.
Ideally newly listed BIN is the thing to look for.
A cheapie i got earlier this year was a 1990 Kookaburra for $20 free shipping:)

Oh, ok. I guess you can get lucky sometimes and win the odd good deal on trademe. I was hoping on something more consistent and with larger quantities. But yes, we are much better off here than in Europe when it comes to silver prices.

If you're looking for a large selection, take a look at APMEX. They are located in the USA, but they will ship to anywhere in the world, and they wont rip you off.

Although their prices are a bit on the high side, you just might find the particular coin or round you are looking for. And their shipping is super-fast and secure.

If you want to convert their prices into your local currency, look here: http://www.apmex.com/international

apmex looks good. How do you tell the new coins apart from the used coins?

Anyone from the uk here, who have used them to import into the uk? Did you get hit with import taxes, VAT etc?
