I think the premium on this coin will rise rapidly when the dealers empty out their stock. Its along time since the mintage was so low. I think this coin is one of the best bullion buys at the current time. Hurry and stack up before the premiums rice even moore.

It all depends on how many collectors think the same way you do, this day and age 6500 mintage is not that great , too many mints around the world pumping out coins by the millions. A few years ago I would have thought the same as you but times are changing . Low mintage now is under 1000.

Which coin has a mintage of 6,500? And how is 6,500 not super low when compared with 1,000,000?

If you're not stacking coins with mintages of 50 or less, then you're not a true collector! ;)

The 1 oz libertad 2014 have a mintage of 429000. Thats very low. The premium is already rising!

I agree. It is a very low mintage year compared to others. I loaded up on them. I think the premium will rise in them. Libertads always do. 6500 is the mintage of the 5oz libertads I think

Expect 2015 to be way higher

Just looked it up. The mintage for the 2014 5oz is 6400. I'm tempted to grab some more of those now while the prices as still decent

The highest I've seen sold was like 145$ for the 5 oz.

One of my favorite bullion coins. Design is simply outstanding. It doesn't change much trough years, but f**k it, better than new one and worse. :)

I had 5 2013 5 oz libertads , 4 of which had tiny black dots on the surfaces with stains leeching out from these tiny dots. They came in the original 5 coin holder from the mint. I sold off 2 and traded two , still have one left, I agree these are very nice but these spots concern me for buying more at this time.

I saw a picture of a 1997 1 oz libertad with the same spots so i suspect these are on other coins as well. Almost like small metallic dust particles in the finish and the stain slowing spreads out over time from these "spots" particles.

Buy what you like and within you limit. Totally understand your feeling.

I still keep my poor bullion libertad 2 oz. The 4 lowest mintage of 2 oz are tone. I am not able to get a perfect one. :(
