    Greetings, new member here.

I recently acquired a 1 kilo silver bar off the secondary market and am looking to get some history on it. Google can generally make quick work of a task like this but to my surprise I have been unable to make any real headway. The bar serial number is 0067. Is there anyone out there that has a low s/n bar like this one and happen to know the approximate mint date or year? Thanks in advance!

    Hi Greg. Welcome to SS!

I think this is better posted in the main Silver section on silver stackers. You will get more replies.

I think this question and comments section is mainly for questions and comments referring to the forum.

But I am sure GP or another mod will move if if required :)

I can't help you with date unfortunately. All I can say is that it's definitely vintage :D There are a lot of vintage bar collectors here though, so someone can probably give you the exact info you need. I am sure someone will be alone shortly :)

Chris, thanks for the reply. Your right, this probably should be in the main Silver forum. Is there a way I can do this or do I just need to contact an admin?

Hmm Suisse Gold. All i know is that is comes from a company "Suisse Gold", which has some reputation for not honoring their orders in the past.

Apparently they are not exactly a Swiss company.

Yes and they also have a bad reputation regarding customer service.

"Looks nice"? Forgive me, but that's such an ugly cast bar. Wouldn't you rather have a nice minted bar?

^ OK. Poured is rougher than cast, right...

TreasureHunter - for someone who has been on this site for as long as you have you would think that you had learned something, but clearly you have not.

1.) The bar at the top is a poured bar, not a cast bar.
2.) Jkenosh said that he liked poured bars over your suggestion of minted.
3.) Then you turn around and say "...Poured is rougher than cast, right..."

    Feel dumb yet?
