Hey guys, after some advice from the gemstone gurus out there.

Picked up this beautiful vintage ring, stamped 18K.
I was told the stones are ruby in the middle surrounded by emeralds.

    Any ideas?

    Apologies for poor picture quality.

Hard to tell just by the pics, but, yes they appear to be emeralds and a ruby.

Quite a few fakes abound on ebay recently which are fake 18KT .. looking quite similar to this.. all advertised as "antique" but the seller having multiples of each.

Maybe you would get the spot gold price if you were to try and sell it.. the gemstones wont add any value.. scrappers will give you nothing for them estimating the gold less stones (assuming its legit gold).
