Hopefully we might see prices stabilise and then have a natural, more calm and measured level of appreciation. The new and more realistic pre-order prices from dealers should get inteest going again as the coins remain outstanding designs, and that always brings a level of popularity.
I bought a couple of pieces as pre-order cause now the price is, in my opinion, very fair for these beauties. I think that price will go up slowly and this is what I want to see for the coins of my collection. Alex.
I'm not sure, But the printing on the box looks like it was done by laser. Regardless whether it is or not, I happen to like the way they did the box. Different strokes for different folks.
Yes, not to forget those words are coming from the timeless pursuer of tasty hamsters, the TabbyCat ! .
FWIW, the way it was explained to us by CIT is that these custom boxes are being included as a deterrent to counterfeiting, ie. the coin is real if it comes with the special box now. Sometime last year CIT bought a fancy machine that stamps images on their generic boxes and they use for all their high end coins (high end is debatable as they are boxing eggs, butterflys etc which are not high priced coins). I take the counterfeit reason with a grain of salt as CIT is making money on these boxes, so everything is getting upcharged along the sales chain.
Nabullion? Don't blame it on the poor little guy. Maybe he thought your finger was food for him. Give him or her a second chance. Come on man, Have a heart.
Yes that is correct for people who purchased others from the series, I got a pre-order form but think I will give it a miss this time round as I think the series is dead due to dealers pricing (not Downies) on last few releases The price on Power Coins works out to be $256 AUD + delivery, Downies way cheaper than that!!!
Hi, We're actually doing both, the letter went out late last week and the email went out yesterday. If you were a previous buyer and didn't get either a letter or an email send me a PM with your name and contact details and I'll have a look into it Kind regards, Renee
Downies have them for $195- http://www.downies.com/Coin-Invest-...s-Hamster-1oz-Silver-BU/6363/productview.aspx
I ended up buying one. A couple of pictures of it. I like it, but with the level of detail in it, seems like it would be a lot cooler as a 5 oz coin...
There is a scratch just above the left whiskers. Why did they choose to add the scratch into the minting?
