In the background, a mountainous landscape fades into the distance as the mammoth makes its way across the flatlands. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. They're always referred to as "Woolly" Mammoths. Was there another kind of Mammoth other than the "Woolly" variety?
I passed on it a while back. It could have been so much cooler, like the Arctic Fox proof, but they messed up on the design big-time. I don't know if it's the angle or what, but the WM itself looks so lame..
It looks like the head is sitting on top of the shoulders rather than in front of the shoulders. Almost like it is standing upright and just has really long arms.
This has been around a while and I have seen several sites put these on sale. Doesn't that usually mean something of how well they have been selling? If you want to get it, Provident Metals has them on sale for $69.95 USD AND free shipping. It looks nice but I passed when they were first released. Seems like a lot of other people have done that as well.
Yep, I believe that's what it is. Too bad, because the rest of it is pretty cool. So close, yet so far away, RCM.. Better luck next time.
