Hi all, I've recently started to collect the Roo proof series and was just wondering if the proofs started in 1999. All I can find before this are BU coins on cards. Any help appreciated,cheers,Paul
there were also coin fair special issues in the years 1993 to 1995. These were the same finish as the standard coins but had interrupted milled edges. The 1993 were on cards with some extra writing on the card with a number The 1994 and 1995 versions were more limited and came in boxes with certs so in this sense are similar to the proofs and sell for high premiums.
Many thanks for the info guys. Will have a look at the coin fair issues,every time you start a new collection variants of the theme seem to pop up to add to the small fortune to be spent!!
