I've been reading post here on and off for a long time but never registered. I figured it was time to participate. I live in small town USA these days. No local shops and no local clubs of any kind that I have been able to find. I started stacking ( on a small scale ) back in the early 90's after my grandfather showed me a Morgan that he had carried in his wallet since the day he left for WWII. It was worn to the point that you could hardly see anything on the coin, but I thought it was cool, so I went and bought one for myself.... that's when I first learned that that silver dollar actually cost more than a dollar. ( I overpaid and am still happy about it) I've bought and sold stuff over the years until I moved to this small town. Flea Bay is okay but the fees are crushing when you're a seller. At this point I stack in three's.... I have three sons. I make a stack for each of them for when I am gone, but I get to admire it while I am still here, and they don't know about it anyway. I have both gold and silver stacked, but for some reason I am more drawn to the silver and have been selling off the gold stuff that doesn't fall into a division of three... if I have only one then I sell it or if I have four I sell one. anyway....
