Best place to buy BTC with AUD

    I've been out of the loop for a while, Whats the best way to buy BTC with AUD these days?
    Any sites to avoid?

    I'm not sure of the best way - but CoinJar has never let me down yet.

    I've used localbitcoins dot com a couple of times without issue

    Pay by bank transfer

    Just make sure buy from someone with a lot of positive feedback.

    can someone suggests on how to transfer some money from us bank to aud account without going through the standard procedure, for the sake of not wanting to getting slay on the exchange rate fee etc..

    about 5k every quarter..

    that is sending from aud to usd..

    this is the other way around. (i want to go from usd to aud)

    i am wondering how can we do it via bitcoin etc..?

    You can use Ozforex for USD to AUD transfers (see my PM).

    I'm sure you could use Bitcoin, but I suspect trading in and out of BTC could reduce/eliminate any saving compared to a FX transfer.

    Now that coin jar is charging GST. where else can i get coins easily via bank deposit?

    Try circle, some people have reported that it works, some not and their prices looked like they were better than coinjar.

    Do you need to fill out the sign up as an American then use an AU credit card?
    Or do i need to chase up a US pre paid visa card?

    Have a look on reddit I don't think it matters where you sign up from, its just been hit and miss on individual cards working

    Has anybody tried Independent Reserve yet? https://www.independentreserve.com/Market
    Looks like buy/sell fees are only 0.5% - much better than the 1-2% at Coinjar. I'd be interested to hear of any experiences.
